Bridal Showers on Bridal Showers on Bridal Showers on Bridal Showers

I was lucky enough to have 4 beautiful bridal showers!!! I loved every single one of them and feel so blessed to have such wonderful, supportive family and friends! thank you to all who helped make this engagement and preparing me for marriage the best!!!

1. Bridal Shower #1 was thrown by my bff's! Kayla, Taylor and Bri and Sam got the beautiful desserts! This bridal shower was for my friends and was so much fun!! we had such a good turn out and it was way fun to see everyone! thank you to all who came! and the decorations were DARLING!!

2. Bridal Shower #2 was thrown by Nathan's Mothers side.  So the " Fletcher" shower! Lets just say that is one i will never forget.  His grandma's sister has a tradition where she makes you a dress, veil, bouquet the whole sha-bang out of your gift wrapping... see pics below. It was a grocery shower and I loved it!!! I am so lucky to be marrying into such a great family!!

3. Bridal Shower #3 was thrown by Nathan's sisters, Melanie and Sherry! This shower was BEAUTIFUL and especially fun because they did the colors of my wedding so i got a sneak peak of what it's going to look like.  I am so grateful for these soon to be sisters of mine.  I loved this shower!

4. Bridal Shower #4 was thrown by my grandma and Aunt Shannon and Aunt Lori.  This shower was my last shower!! I cant believe they've come and gone.  This one was really fun! i especially liked the "underwear line"  a decoration with underwear i'm going to wear throughout my lifetime haha!! I have such wonderful examples of what a good wife should be and i'm so grateful for that! Thank you to everyone who helped and came!

and sherry gave me the fabulous "bride" robe that every bride needs!! i'm obsessed!
love you all!

the little things...

Nathan is the best gift giver I've ever met or heard of... and I get to marry him!!!! winner winner chicken dinner! BUT what most people don't know or see from the outside is that Nathan is also really good at the little things. here are just a few examples caught on camera.

I told him I was going to come visit him at work and that I wanted a summer salad, when I walked in this was sitting on the bar waiting for me. :)))))
a water with lemon
a candle
a summer salad with a strawberry flower on top
and no onions... he knows my heart.

He always makes me food and treats, he made me this delicious s'more last night!

He rubs my feet whenever we are sitting down.  It doesn't matter how tired he is or how long he has worked that day, he will still rub my feet. ps. how do our new curtains look?!

I love him sooooo much!!
20 more days!!!!!!!!

ps. happy birthday to my brother in law Mark!!
Moviegrille is AWESOME

pss. In one month we get our baby bully!!! here is one of the options! so cute!

5/14/14

On this special day Kohler James Hurst was born! My cousin Lexi and her husband Travis had her baby! Let me tell you, babies have the strongest spirit about them. They are so pure and clean and special.  It's crazy to think that they were in heaven with our heavenly father waiting to come down and be here with us.  I truly feel so blessed to be able to have children and so privileged that our father in heaven trusts us with his children. I can't wait.

Moss Mats and Succulents

For my birthday Nay gave me stuff to make this mat that you put outside of your shower that's made out of moss, so when you step out of the shower you water it! He also gave me these way cool containers, rocks, and succulents to make the succulent gardens with the moss. I LOVE earthy stuff.  I love plants and flowers and think succulents are the coolest things ever. so cool that i'm having the groom and groomsmen have succulent boutonnieres. ;) so here's how the projects turned out! not too bad if i do say so myself. Thanks to Nathan of course.

As of Late...

I'm done with school for the summer!! Hallelujah! I couldn't wait to be done, now I can completely focus on redoing our apartment.. (complete home makeover!) and getting ready for the wedding! I also turned 22! My favorite number! I can tell this year is gonna be gooooood.

So I wish we took better "before" pictures of the apartment but just picture... orange carpet, wood paneling, light fixtures that have been there since I was born (I lived in the same apartment when I was born ;)) and gross country blue wallpaper... it's been quite the project to say the least.  So far Brad, Nathan's brother has painted the entire house. but before he did that our construction guy had to re-sheet rock the wood paneling wall, and sand the entire wallpaper wall so it was paint-able. He also put mouldings up in the entire house. We practically live at Wheelwright Lumber and Lowes.  We got all new wood floor. My grandpa cut the entire thing and Nay laid the entire thing.  Can I just say i've never met anyone who works as hard as Nathan.  He redid the entire floor just because it wasn't snapped in right. He works basically full time and is over working on the apartment before and after work.  Every day I feel luckier and luckier to marry such an amazing person. I know that sounds cliche.... but seriously every day adds another reason. I'm so lucky!!!

Okay sorry for that little tangent ;) but anyway.... one of Brad's mission companions did the recessed lighting in the family room and Nathan did the bedroom lighting. It looks AMAZING!! I'm so excited for the construction to be done so I can decorate!

And Finally.... The finished Product!! (almost)

THANK YOU to all who have helped and who will help.  We love and appreciate you all!
