"It's not what we have in life, but who we have in our life that matters."

We got our family pictures back! Hip hip hooray! I love them so much! Lexi did my wedding as well so we all know how I feel about her and her work. ;) but seriously.. go check her out. leximariephotography.blogspot.com
So as I got these family pictures back it made me feel really grateful for my family. For my big extended family, for my immediate family, for  my family in laws (is that a word??) and for my family with nay. I came across this quote that I thought was very eye opening. If you want to learn what someone fears losing, watch what they photograph.
I love my family. All of them.
I love Nathan. All of him.

Now I know that we haven’t even been married 5 months yet. I also know that we’ve had to overcome things and we will continue to have to overcome things. But here is some advice from a newlywed.
1.      1.  Know your spouse.
I say this one because there is so much advice on marriage out there but you need to figure out what works for you as a couple. A lot of people think it’s healthy to go to sleep after an argument so that you both can calm down and realize that maybe it isn’t that big of a deal. Now… Nathan won’t let us do this because he knows me. He knows that I am upset until we talk about it. Even if I won’t start the conversation (which is usually the case:/). And also I could care less about the thing we argued about but if it’s not resolved I will be upset until it is… even if I can’t even remember what the actual argument is about. I have to know there is no contention between Nay and I.
2.     2.   Always say I Love You.
Most couples have heard this before but it is seriously so important. It’s so important for them to know that you love them.. ALL OF THE TIME. Love is not a thing or a word that should be taken lightly. So when you feel it you should say it.. lots J never let them question your love. No matter how bugged/frustrated/upset you are.
3.    3.    Put them first.
My institute teacher, Brother Anderson always told us the number one cause of divorce was selfishness. All of the sudden it becomes about YOU. and how your spouse doesn’t do anything nice for YOU. or how YOU are always doing the work. I believe this with my whole heart. If you always put your spouse before yourself you won’t have this problem. Let them know they are your priority.
4.   4.     Remember and Keep your temple covenants. This is a very personal one for me and I truly believe in it.
There are plenty more I’m sure! And remember.. No one is perfect and everyone has their own battles. I’m not an expert in anyway, just a very grateful, lucky wife. <3

Halloween!

Halloween!
Our first Halloween being married was so much fun. :)) This year we had 3 Halloween parties. Then on Halloween we went to my grandmas and took pictures with everyone and ate chili. After we went to Black Island Farms with a group of friends! It was like a haunted house/corn maze all in one! It was scary but really fun. I love being married to Nathan. I love doing holidays and activities with him all the time! and I honestly don't care what we do as long as i'm with him. This year we decided to be cave(wo)men.. mainly because that meant we could dress our dog up as a woolly mammoth. you cant tell me he is not the cutest thing you've ever seen! I love him!!

Cindy loo hoo - the the the THE grinch - cavemen

I learned a few things about Nathan this Halloween...
1. He will gladly dress up as long as it is comfortable!
2. He loves sour cream and cheese with his chili.
3. He gets really really scared at haunted houses and his defense mechanism is screaming and/or running. hehehehe
4. He is the best husband ever! (but i already knew that) he cleaned the house AND (with bowsers  help, got me flowers).
#blessed

Bear Lake

Nathan and I LOVE bear lake! This year we were lucky enough to go twice.  Once with his family and once with mine. While up there we ate, played games (a lot!!!), watched movies, did crafts, mini golfed, swam, paddle boarded and played more games! oh and ate raspberry shakes mmmmm.

If you ever go to Bear Lake you HAVE to go to pickleville playhouse.  We saw Beauty and the Beast this time and it was awesome!

poor baby bowser wanted to come!

going on vacations while being married is SO much better.  I love sleeping next to Nay every night and wouldnt trade it for anything.

6/7/14 The Best Day Ever!! //the decorations//

okkkkk so apparently my computer can't handle uploading all of the pics so I am going to break my wedding day into a few different posts. :) yay! right?! this first post is dedicated to the decor. the style/look/colors you choose represents you and your personality. deciding my colors was the easiest part for me! I saw this color pallet on Pinterest and LOOOVED it. so i stuck with it.  I loved how it turned out.  the gold made it classy and the pink made it summery and the dark raspberry color with all the hanging flowers that made it have that brooding feel... well that made it me.

June 6th...
The friday before the wedding was a very long day.  it's one thing when you know what you like and dont like, or picking out what kind of cake you want or what style of bouquet.. but putting all the decorations together and hoping it turns out how you want it.. that is something completely different. on the 6th we woke up at 7 A.M I ran over to Nathans where my sister in law, Sherry did my beautiful shellac nails. At 8 A.M my Mom and sisters came over and shortly after that the "crew" joined.  My friends, my aunts, my grandmas', my friends moms (who are my friends too.. obvi) my neighbors, my young women leaders, and all of Nathan's family, they all came to help and I was SOOO grateful.  Nathan did all of the lighting and did the fabric walls and ceiling.  it was AMAZING. without him it would not have had the "magical" feel that you want... of course he couldnt have done it without Sherry, Jordan, Melanie, Brad, and Blaine! thank you guys!! it was perfect.

enjoy the pics ;)

this cake serving set was given to me at a shower by my mother in law, Laurie! I absolutely LOVED it. and it was even engraved with our names and wedding date.

my cake was done by my talented grandma! <Bonnie> I was so in love!!!! <Erika Wolfgramm> did all of my flowers and they were perfect. that was like the number one thing i cared about.. my flowers and my dress. and I was THRILLED when I saw the finished product. THANK YOU GRANDMA AND ERIKA! wouldnt it be cool to be that talented.. :)

The amazing Lexi Marie Bills did my pictures. She is one of my best friends and I will owe her forever for capturing these beautiful moments. Thanks forever plex!<3

look how pretty the lights are!
all of our tables and chairs, table cloths and chair ties were from Diamond rental!

These pillars were at the entrance and exit and were made by the Pierce's! they were perfect.

My good friend Kate wrote on all the chalkboards, she is so talented!!

Nathan and I did the N & M last minute and i'm so happy we did! Recognize these pics?? they were used at the engagement! I love Nathan!

it also helped to have an AMAZING backyard and beautiful huge trees!

before I was engaged in like December Sherry calls me and says... Morgan, I am at Michael's and they are having a 70% off sale on all this beautiful gold stuff! so Nathan, Scotty and I rushed down and she was right. It was exactly what I envisioned.. lets just say I saved $400 that day. ;) Thank you Sherry and thank you Michael's!!

Wedding: Week After.. aka the Honeymoon

Can you believe it's been 1 whole month since the wedding?? I cant! it's been the best month of my life. Ok so our honeymoon was Amazing!!! It started off with a limo ride to our hotel.  We stayed in the Hotel Monaco in SLC for one night before we headed off to Cancun. They gave us complimentary wine and truffles for our Honeymoon. (We replaced the wine with our own sparkling cider ;))

The next morning we started our day off with an early morning flight to Seattle followed by a flight to Cancun. Both flights went very smoothly! We slept a lot! I always forget how cold I get in airplanes though... I was freeeezing. Luckily nay nay put his legs on me so I was warm.

When we got to Mexico we took a shuttle to our Hotel.  Everyone was so nice and helpful the entire time! In Cancun we stayed in the Hotel Riu Palace Peninsula. It was STUNNING! It's brand new and HUGE! the pools are beautiful and it's right on the beach.  I asked Nathan if the sand was man made because it was so soft and white.  It reminded me of powdered sugar!

our room! It was soooo humid and hot outside and always so cool in our room. quite impressive!

more complimentary wine, strawberries, and a cool souvenir that now sits in our bathroom!

For the next week we spent our time sleeping, laying out, drinking pina coladas and my personal favorite, mojitos (all virgin of course), eating at the fancy restaurants and buffets and ordering from the 24/7 room service.  let me just tell you, all inclusive is the way to go.  It was amazing!!

Nay's favorite, mango's with chilli powder!

Pure happiness right there ^^^^

and right there ^

every night after dinner we would walk on the beach with our toes in the sand. then we would end up somewhere listening to the waves, talking, drinking more drinks, and playing scrabble on our phones.  :)

a HUGE snail Nay found!

can't go on a honeymoon without a kissing picture!

one day we went to the "Women's Island" we went snorkeling, and we held a shark, we road a boat to and from all these things and we went shopping and had lunch on the island.  We also did this parasailing type thing. I went parasailing in China and you are supposed to be strapped in and you don't jump in the water so when the kind "party crew" on the boat told us to do this you had to be good at swimming i was really confused. little did i know it was not parasailing at all.  first you jump in to the middle of the ocean where you hurry and sit on this towel that is connected to a huge parachute thing and the wind takes you as high as it wants, flinging you from side to side.  then when the party crew decides your turn is up they tell you to jump.  Nathan and I thought we were both going to die and/or land on our faces like everyone else but it went surprisingly well and was really fun!! sketchy... but fun!

The boat ride! where i got frieeeed! Just because you're wearing sunscreen doesn't mean you won't get sunburned.. -___-

Me... look how high I am!

us petting the shark!

the party crewwww

shopping on the island!

Nathan going up up up

we loooooved snorkeling!
everyone probably thinks this but my honeymoon was perfect. I love mexico, the people of mexico, and most of all.. I love Nathan. He is my perfect person and I couldnt ask for a better husband.

Mrs. Richey
