#becauseofhim

Happy Easter everyone! I am so grateful for Christ and that He was resurrected so I can live with Him and my family forever.  I have always been grateful for this but I am especially now that I will start my own family soon with Nathan.  I love him and he is such a good example to me.

something I love about Easter are our Easter traditions! Every year we go to my grandma and grandpa's house and we eat, color eggs, and once they are all colored we go to a park and throw them down a hill.  It's surprisingly really fun! And even more fun now that I get to share these traditions with Nay!

Nay and I exchanged Easter baskets and once again he spoiled me rotteeeeen. He got me a candy basket full of Reese's eggs and bunnies of all different sizes (including a giant 1 pound bunny), twix eggs which I have never seen before but they are delicious! and my favorite sour patch bunnies and sour patch watermelon!  also in the basket was a stuffed bulldog! We really want a bulldog but he gave me the stuffed animal version to keep me company until we get a real one ;). THEN he gave me a Easter sack full of all my favorite fruit and a Dole Yonanas!  a Dole Yonanas is a machine where you freeze fruit and then put it through this machine and it turns it into ice cream! you literally dont add anything else. it's awesome! and i tried it out tonight... it was so yummy. I am beyond amazed and beyond happy.

I gave him a bamboo tree for good luck, some wasabi almonds, loaded baked potato pringles, gummy fruit snacks, a variety of succulents and cactus in a cute pot thing andddd hidden in a little egg I gave him his wedding ring! He was very surprised but he loved it. :)) more pics of the ring to come later!

it's been a perfect Easter. I am beyond blessed. especially for this boy.  I can't wait to become Mrs. Richey!!

Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, dreams are forever. - Walt Disney

This past week I got to go to the happiest place on earth!! Disneyland! Nathan and I flew out last Thursday morning at 5am. When we arrived we took a shuttle to our hotel and then from there went to the famous "Knotts Berry Farm"! It was insane...... to say the least! first, there were no lines so we went on all the rides right after one another. second, those rides are crazy!!!! we were dropping, twisting, turning, flying all over the place! but it was really fun :)

My family drove and got to California at around 5 and they picked us up at the amusement park and took us back to the hotel.  then we went to Huntington beach and walked around and ate dinner at a local place! It was really yummy! I forgot how much i love the So. Cal. air :) it is so refreshing! oh and it was nice to see the sun too.

Friday and Sunday we went to Disneyland!! I love Disneyland. it really is so magical! Nathan makes fun of me for saying that word so much when I am there but it's true! There is nothing like it. while we were there a 5.3 magnitude earthquake hit and it was a little bit nerve wracking.. I've never been in an earthquake or anything like it for that matter so when the concrete below us was literally rolling like a wave beneath us we got a little freaked out. then we had to get to our car along with the other masses and masses of people. but i am glad we were about ready to go home anyway and that we are all safe and sound.  It made me realize how short life really is. I vow to never take life, love, family, friends, the gospel and everything else for granted.

some highlights of the happiest place on earth was....
holding Nathan's hand every second
eating the deluxe caramel apple and mickey mouse shaped sugar cookie
eating the sourdough bread in California adventures!
visiting cars land
World of Color
being with my family and making memories <3

on Saturday we went back to Huntington beach where we attempted to lay out. It got very windy! we shopped and walked around and saw lots of cute dogs everywhere! then we went back to the hotel and got in the hot tub, played phase 10 (Nathan and I played that quite a bit.. so far I owe him a 20 minute back tickle and he owes me a 10 -___-) and ate pizza!

when it was time to go home I was sad but so happy we were able to go! I loved spending the time with Nathan away from our busy, crazy, wonderful lives. It made me that much more excited to marry him and to see what a wonderful, smart, caring, fun person my soon to be husband is. :)) the guy from the shuttle called Nathan and I answered and he said "Hello Mrs. Richey" and I didn't correct him. 66 more days!
