This past week I got to go to the happiest place on earth!! Disneyland! Nathan and I flew out last Thursday morning at 5am. When we arrived we took a shuttle to our hotel and then from there went to the famous "Knotts Berry Farm"! It was insane...... to say the least! first, there were no lines so we went on all the rides right after one another. second, those rides are crazy!!!! we were dropping, twisting, turning, flying all over the place! but it was really fun :)
My family drove and got to California at around 5 and they picked us up at the amusement park and took us back to the hotel. then we went to Huntington beach and walked around and ate dinner at a local place! It was really yummy! I forgot how much i love the So. Cal. air :) it is so refreshing! oh and it was nice to see the sun too.
Friday and Sunday we went to Disneyland!! I love Disneyland. it really is so magical! Nathan makes fun of me for saying that word so much when I am there but it's true! There is nothing like it. while we were there a 5.3 magnitude earthquake hit and it was a little bit nerve wracking.. I've never been in an earthquake or anything like it for that matter so when the concrete below us was literally rolling like a wave beneath us we got a little freaked out. then we had to get to our car along with the other masses and masses of people. but i am glad we were about ready to go home anyway and that we are all safe and sound. It made me realize how short life really is. I vow to never take life, love, family, friends, the gospel and everything else for granted.
some highlights of the happiest place on earth was....
holding Nathan's hand every second
eating the deluxe caramel apple and mickey mouse shaped sugar cookie
eating the sourdough bread in California adventures!
visiting cars land
World of Color
being with my family and making memories <3
on Saturday we went back to Huntington beach where we attempted to lay out. It got very windy! we shopped and walked around and saw lots of cute dogs everywhere! then we went back to the hotel and got in the hot tub, played phase 10 (Nathan and I played that quite a bit.. so far I owe him a 20 minute back tickle and he owes me a 10 -___-) and ate pizza!
when it was time to go home I was sad but so happy we were able to go! I loved spending the time with Nathan away from our busy, crazy, wonderful lives. It made me that much more excited to marry him and to see what a wonderful, smart, caring, fun person my soon to be husband is. :)) the guy from the shuttle called Nathan and I answered and he said "Hello Mrs. Richey" and I didn't correct him. 66 more days!
xx
